Chaque année, le 12 août célèbre la Journée internationale de la jeunesse des Nations Unies (ONU). Cet été, le système des Nations Unies se donne rendez-vous dans la Ville de Québec pour son 400e anniversaire, afin de participer à la Marche mondiale des jeunes!

Le thème choisi pour cet été est :
«Les jeunes et les changements climatiques : il est temps d’agir»

Présentée par le programme de coopération internationale Uniterra, cette marche est le point de rendez-vous des jeunes engagés qui ont à coeur le développement de leurs communautés. Venez y rencontrer les 500 jeunes de 110 pays qui participent à ReGénération 2008, auxquels se joindront les participants de la 5e édition de l’École d’été de l’Institut du Nouveau Monde.

Joignez-vous au plus important et au plus inspirant rassemblement jeunesse des fêtes du 400e anniversaire de la Ville de Québec.

14 h 00 : L’Exposition ReGénération 2008 : Une fenêtre sur aujourd’hui, un regard sur demain

Cette 4e édition du Congrès mondial des jeunes offre une vitrine unique aux réalisations des participants : une exposition rassemblant délégués et partenaires sous un même toit qui sera accessible tant aux participants qu’au grand public.

Venez découvrir la réalité des jeunes provenant d’une centaine de pays qui travaillent à l’atteinte des objectifs du Millénaire de l’ONU. Échangez avec eux sur des sujets aussi variés que l’éducation, la santé, HIV/sida, la pauvreté, le statut des femmes et le développement durable. Découvrez leurs solutions, leurs rêves et leurs projets d’amélioration de la qualité de vie dans leur communauté. Avec nos partenaires, tout aussi passionnés, vous partagerez leurs engagements et leurs ambitions face aux réalités d’aujourd’hui et de demain.

On August 12th 2008, the International Youth Day of the United Nations (UN) will be celebrated everywhere around the world. This summer, the UN agencies will meet in Quebec City for the World Youth Walk!

The main theme for this summer is:
" Youth and climate change: Time for action "

Presented by the Uniterra international cooperation program, this walk will be the meeting of the committed young people who care about the sustainable development of their communities. It will be the time to meet 500 young people from around 110 countries who will participate to ReGeneration 2008. The participants of the 5th edition of the summer School of the Institut du Nouveau-Monde will also join this event.

Be part of the biggest and the most inspirational gathering of its kind for young people, during the festivities around Quebec City's 400th anniversary.

2:00 pm: The ReGeneration 2008 Expo : Exposing Today’s Achievements, Looking Forward to Tomorrow

This 4th edition of the World Youth Congress series will offer a unique view on the participant’s achievements: an exposition uniting participants and the Congress partners under the same roof, which will be accessible to the participants as well as the general public.

We invite you to discover the youth’s reality from around the globe, the same youth that’s hard-working on a daily basis to achieve the UN Millennium Development Goals. You will get the chance to get their opinion on various subjects like education, health, HIV, poverty, gender equality and sustainable development. You will discover their solutions, their dreams and their projects on how to improve quality of life in their communities. Our partners, who are as passionate, will share along their commitment and their ambitions to face today and tomorrow’s challenges.
